In this episode, we welcome back the beautiful Rebecca Tolin, who’s been on the podcast before: How We Heal with Rebecca Tolin, and she is now sharing her wisdom with us again!
Rebecca had severe symptoms, that included falling very ill with different viruses and eventually being diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue syndrome. This episode is close to my heart, as I’ve watched Rebecca’s journey and I’ve seen her longing for healing and she found it through Somantic.
Somatic healing is a holistic, often spiritual, and mindful approach to health and well-being that focuses on the body, mind, and spirit. It combines meditation, mindfulness, and physical exercises to help individuals become more aware of their emotional and physical states. This has endless benefits to the improvement of sleep, wellness, increased self-esteem, and cultivating strong and healthy coping mechanisms. A lot of these benefits start with practicing self-compassion in the depths of life’s struggles.
There is a strong connection between our emotions and our symptoms and it’s amazing how we can heal our symptoms by working on inner healing. Rebecca Tolin is a mind-body coach and teacher who recovered from 13 years of chronic fatigue syndrome. She helps others heal from ME/CFS, Long Covid and other chronic symptoms in her Be Your Own Medicine course. Rebecca emphasizes the role that stress and trauma have on the brain and nervous system. Her work gets to the root of symptoms through neuroscience, nervous system regulation, somatic meditations, emotional awareness and self-compassion. She’s recently worked as a consultant on a Long Covid pilot study through Harvard Medical School.
