Day in the Life of Feng Shui Consultant Fiona Finn

What is it like to have a successful Feng Shui business?

We’re bringing you a new series of blog posts where we interview past Feng Shui Master Certification students about their Feng Shui business and why they chose to become a Feng Shui consultant.

Our interview is with the lovely Fiona Finn.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I am a Feng Shui consultant and well-being facilitator. I originally trained as an architectural technician years ago, because I always had an interest in houses and spaces.

What made you decide to become a certified master in Feng Shui?

The reason I trained in Feng Shui is that a Friend of mine was interested in it and she sent me a booklet on how to Feng Shui your home office. I spent a couple of hours one weekend doing that and the following week I was contacted by a company who offered me a contract with them. It was a company that I wanted to work with, but I hadn’t sent a CV in. So, that just got me thinking, the only thing that was actually different was that I had implemented some Feng Shui remedies into my office space. My friend did the training as well and everything she was telling me about it, I absolutely loved it.

What is your favorite part of being a Feng Shui consultant?

I get to work with people who are looking to change their lives, to have more abundance and prosperity in all areas. It’s when they actually implement the remedies and suggestions for their house that they actually get to have that change. It’s not just for them, it’s actually the ripple effect for everybody in the house, that they all benefit from.

What does a day in your life typically look like?

There isn’t really a typical day. It can vary from week to week. I work from home, and obviously, I would’ve worked remotely last year. Feng Shui can be done remotely or actually on site. I have a mix of both, which I love. I love going to people’s houses. I love doing the space clearings. I love chatting with them. I love sharing ideas with them, and I love creating reports as well so that they can actually implement all the changes. So, every day is different, but it’s just fantastic.

What would you say has been your proudest moment as a Feng Shui consultant?

I am proudest of the fact that I am so honored to get to walk that journey with each and everyone who chooses to have their home, or their office, or their spaces Feng Shuied and that I’m part of that.

What do you think is the most important part of Feng Shui?

The fact that it is the interaction of the energy of the house, and the space, with the actual people in it, and how much making even one or two changes to start, and then actually going and implementing many more changes, how it can create so much change for someone. It’s just so powerful, and what blows my mind is the fact that the changes are actually really simple to implement and that’s what puts the fun in it as well. That really gives joy to me.

Are there any words of wisdom you would offer to someone interested in becoming a Feng Shui consultant?

To anyone thinking of actually doing the training I would say, “Yes, go for it!” It’s really comprehensive. The manual and the information that’s shared are absolutely fantastic. What I absolutely love about it is the support afterward. There are two monthly calls if you wish to have access to that as well. I also made many friends from the class the year that I trained and we’re still in contact, supporting each other and actually lifelong friends as well. It’s just the fact that, if I have a question or I’m not sure about something I know there’s somebody at the end of the line that I can actually contact or email so that I can get support with, you know, whatever that question is to do with Feng Shui. So, it’s absolutely fantastic, I can’t recommend it highly enough. It’s absolutely brilliant and just to share one thing with you, I remember the first day that I was actually sitting in the class and it’s like some sort of, I don’t know, something came over me and I just realized this is a piece of information that I had been looking for, because I would have been involved in work in architect’s offices for years and loved designing houses, loved visiting houses and probably did engage with the energy part of it, but didn’t really know what to do with it and the actual classical Feng Shui is what interprets that energy and identifies where, I suppose, the energy may be low in areas and using the remedies of Feng shui can actually raise that vibration and support everyone in the house and that just blows my mind. So, yeah, absolutely, go for it. If you’re thinking about it, it’s absolutely brilliant and you definitely won’t regret it.
